"SEEN IT, DONE IT, GOT THE T-SHIRT"

It's a phrase we have all heard but when it comes to looking after your health and well being it is more than just a throw away comment! You need to know that your therapist has the knowledge and experience to understand your symptoms, accurately diagnose the condition/injury and has the skills to successfully treat the problem. I have extensive experience in the following areas:

Childrens'/Paediatrics/Adolescent Physiotherapy:

Lengthy experience in all departments in a leading Childrens' Hospital in Sydney, Australia. I also have worked with young, elite athletes in a number of sports in both Australia and the UK.

Musculoskeletal/sports injuries/spinal/post-operative:

Extensive experience in Australia, UK and Isle of Man working in a number of private clinics including working with a number of leading orthopaedic surgeons and professional sporting teams at national and international level. I was also a physiotherapist at the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games, and specialise in a variety of areas including manual therapy, injury rehabilitation programmes, pre and post-surgery rehabilitation, pre-season sports screening and a special interest in back and neck care

Hydrotherapy:

An important way to treat a number of conditions, and the key is being in the water with the patient to assist and progress the treatment. I have extensive experience in both Australia and the UK to use hydrotherapy for a variety of conditions.

Acupuncture:

An increasingly popular technique used by physiotherapists, I find this to be a very useful "tool" in my box of skills for a variety of conditions

Elderly rehabilitation:

Extensive work with the National Health Service in Australia, London and the North-East including rehabilitation following strokes, fractures, joint replacement, amputations, falls prevention and mobility problems.

Workplace assessment/education:

Presented seminars in the UK and Isle of Man on back/neck care in the workplace, including assessment and exercise programs for prevention of injury.

Sports massage:

Extensive experience in the sporting arena, ensuring athletes with or without injuries remain in the best condition possible all year round. The benefits of massage, however, are there for everyone

I will educate you about the diagnosis and cause of your condition, then explain the treatment techniques used to rehabilitate and manage it. You will receive an individualised exercise program so that you can play a major role in your own rehabilitation, recovery and injury prevention.
When not working, I am a fitness fanatic taking part in triathlons, long distance running, cycling, football, cricket and golf. I love travelling the world and enjoying the outdoors at every opportunity. Being healthy and fit is not only something I enjoy myself, but try to encourage others to do. My enthusiasm will be evident to each and every one of you, and my aim is to help you become FIT, STRONG AND HEALTHY.
